Area Students Tour Gerdau Steel Mill in Honor of National Manufacturing Day

FORT SMITH, Ark. - October 23, 2014 - On October 25, Gerdau hosted students from four local high schools in observance of National Manufacturing Day (Oct. 4), which is an event designed to showcase the importance of manufacturing in the United States. Students from Northside, Southside, Greenwood and Union Christian Academy spent the day learning about the many rewarding high-skill jobs in the steel industry.

Gerdau's Jackson Mill Celebrates 40 Years in Operation at Annual Company Picnic

JACKSON, Mich. - September 15, 2014 - Gerdau employees and their families celebrated the company's 40th year operating in Jackson, Mich., at an annual company picnic this past Saturday, Sept. 13. The celebration took place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of Gerdau's special steel producing mill located at 3100 Brooklyn Rd. and featured concession stands, carnival rides, and a buffet catered by Gene Davis and Sons.
